Gagnon Line Construction is looking for qualified Electric Linemen to work during storm operations across North America!

(Departure city, Windsor, (Qc) or Saint-André, New Brunswick)

We are always looking for qualified line personnel who can travel on short notice to perform emergency power line restoration work.

Linemen or powerline technicians obtain a salary of up to $110 per hour and many other advantages!

Our team consists of over 200 certified and skilled linemen who have extensive industry experience and a fleet of over one hundred well maintained and fully equipped utility vehicles. We work hard to ensure that every task is carried out safely and to the highest possible standards. We are unionized with IBEW Local 568 in Montreal.

Requirements of the successful candidate

Possess a professional qualification in powerline assembly from an industry recognized training program or equivalent.

Any apprentice in power line assembly wishing to further their career and gain experience.

Possess a valid Class 3 driver's license (or equivalent) or be able to obtain one within the first six (6) months of employment to operate the vehicles used in this position.

The candidate may be required to submit to a drug test before hiring and participate in a random drug and alcohol testing group.

Applicants must have a valid passport and clean criminal record to frequently enter the United States for storm restoration work.

Must be physically able to perform essential duties in all weather conditions.

General knowledge of line materials, trade related practices/standards and operating rules and regulations.

Good communication (verbal and written) and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, clients and industry partners.

Have an excellent security track record and be committed to maintaining high security standards at all times.

Must be available quickly and for an indefinite period.
